IRA Newsletter Project:  Effective Literacy Website #3 “Storynory” http://www.storynory.com/

Welcome to Storynory!

Once upon a time there in the midst of all great sites in the world was this story teller named “Storynory”.  It is a site for children of all ages from pre-school to junior age school kids loaded with lots of interesting stories for all listeners.  Children will be magnetized and fall in love with these audio stories from original stories, fairytales, myths and histories topped with sprinkles of verse for every week.  A site to visit and mp3 files are available to download every month by popular demands from viewers.  Storynory offers a free selection of stories for families, nurseries, schools, hospitals and every place in the world.  Stories are beautifully read to make the listener feel as if they were a character in the story.  It is beyond exciting to see children immersed in a story with great interest!  Confessions from Storynory followers as they log on to the site, listen to stories during the day, as they travel and begin to fall asleep with a story.  These original stories include “Prince Bertie, Katie the Ordinary Witch and Astropup” and original novels only to name a few.  Children love to listen to traditional fairytale stories such as Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Snow Queen, The Little Mermaid and a variety of poems and music.  Other stories are rewritten to entertain the modern audience with versions of myths and legends.  Most of the original stories are written by the producer Hugh Fraser, an English actor, theatre director and author.  Actors in these stories like Natasha Gostwick whose lovely voice that children around the world have grown to know and listen to.  Most of the illustrators work includes Bertie the Frog, Cinderella and Rumplestitskin only to name a few.

These audio stories come with a powerful original song specially written and performed that creates real life experiences.  Stories, poems and music created by great poets and actors in “Storynory” will captivate the attention of an audience.  As this story comes to an end, “Storynory” is one educational site enriched with Bible stories, vocabulary improvement, create, learn and play with educational activities, true stories of kings, queens, battles, inventions of people, events that changed the world, interviews of authors, romance stories and educational workshops for children.  What is a Storynory site without Christmas stories?  Just a click away and time for the holidays, cuddling up with Christmas stories such as the popular story titled “The Night Before Christmas”.
