Internet
tools/Resources Reviews: The three
tools/resources are “Learn Out Loud, Google Earth and RCampus” I chose to write
reviews/articles on the effectiveness in education.
My first internet tool is the “Learn Out Loud”. You will be amazed of the array of enriching resources on this website. This website offers free courses, free audiobooks, video titles and free documentaries to learn from. Begin searching from over 50,000 educational audio books, podcasts and videos! Learn Out Loud makes online courses meaningful and accessible. When speaking, the learner remembers information better, listening to others increased the ability to reach learning objectives and the feeling as if you were in the classroom collaborating with others. This tool ensures that learning is accessible to all students for the hearing, visually impaired and supports students with disabilities and accommodations to students who need the services. Learning out loud is used as an effective tool in communication skills essential in developing critical listening and speaking skills for student’s higher educational experiences. There is more! Learning out loud extends even further that improves students social and emotional elements of learning by verbally conversing with one another in a multimodal learning environment. Learning Out Loud has the choice of learning right at home with family or venture off with other students worldwide. Students learn through reading, creating, playing, storytelling designing and much, much more! A reason to take classes on the web that are taught in a way that gets students physically, emotionally and intellectually involved in the subject matter. It provides a private web page for families to access, stay connected to lessons taught and monitor class as a family. A website to use individually or as a group in a positive, fun and challenging learning environment that provides all to Learn Out Loud!
Google Earth provides the ability to explore the
world by a click of a finger! My
intention in choosing Google Earth is
it serves as a virtual 3D fieldtrip for students to explore, visit and learn
about in comfort. Perfect to integrate
content lessons by viewing a particular location with this resource. Students will have an adventure with fun
interactive stories from around the world.
A brand-new version of Google
Earth opens up in 3D to view the world with innovative and exciting new
stories. Students can extend their
experiences visiting the interactive guided tours compiled by some of the world’s
leading storytellers, scientists and nonprofits to bring the planet to live! A fun and exciting tool to learn about the
numerous natural treasures, six habitats, islands and mountains to jungles. Learn about the wildlife in 3D and the
national parks worldwide and who wouldn’t stop to visit Lola, one of the 12
little monsters in Sesame Street?
Explore and learn about the hidden gems the world over with 20,000
different places with a click of a button that will take students to an array
of adventures. Once students decide their
point of interest to visit and learn, Google Earth offers a “Knowledge Card” to
open and learn the history, facts about a particular place which includes a
selection of related pictures by flipping from one of the stacks of cards with
this tool. From where you virtually
stand, families can pinpoint your exact location and have a fun filled
adventure with them. There is no place
like home in Google Earth with related articles such as experiencing the total
solar eclipse, fly to a destination and walk inside places thousands of miles
away in incredible detail without stepping into a classroom or opening up a textbook. Just zoom in and step into an adventurous
world of wonders with Google Earth!
