Buenas Yan Hafa Adai to “Poetry4Kids"
A site gushing with lots of funny poems!  A playground of poetry waiting to be discovered by children.  That’s not all, the author Kenn Nesbitt has written classic poetry, games, poetry lessons, activities and rhyming dictionary.  Watch videos and visit the school site for more information regarding dates to remember.
Besides listening to funny poems, there are newest poems to read and rate such as “After Thanksgiving, Frank the Friendly Alien and Deep Sea Dance”.   And if you do not find the poem you are looking for, there is a search site bar for your convenience.
Children love to play games, so, what would be a creative way to open a child’s mind to poetry with online poetry games!  All of the games are perfect distraction for rainy days or quiet afternoon at home.  What a better way to spend the day having fun learning poetry and other skills!  It is fun, educational and most of all the BIG word FREE!  There is a large list of titled games on the menu.  What makes this a perfect site because as children are reading poetry, they are learning how to spell, type, build skills in sentence structure while having a blast at the same time!
The author Kenn Nesbitt is known to be the next Children’s Poet Laureate and has written numerous books of poetry for children.  His collection of poems are great for reciting and reading.  Poetry4Kids website provides lessons in poetry writing for children such as “How to Write Funny Poetry, Rhythm in Poetry, Poetic Forms, Other Poetic Styles and Reciting Poetry.
Teachers do not have to write lessons in poetry, Poetry4Kids has it all!  What is interesting is “A Poetry dictionary and rhyming word list” waiting to be played with.  All of these lessons provide the assistance that will help children write their very own poems.  If you are looking to have fun with poetry, Poetry4Kids is just the place to navigate.  Poetic adventures to use at home or the classroom when celebrating holidays making crafts, activities, parties and fun filled worksheets in a variety of topics.
Would you like to listen to Kenn Nesbitt’s poetry reading live?  Just visit the URL, Poetry4Kids, poetry reading with a small group at Barnes & Noble in Spokane, Washington.  He read a poem from each of his books on September 21, 2016.
