online resource that helps teachers, parents and whoever is trying to help a
young child or student learn how to read. This website is a great resource to
answer your reading questions and needs. Teachers and anyone who works with
students can benefit from the information and resources provided on this
website. One of the great things about this website is that the information is
continually updated with the latest strategies and research to help the users
of the site. Teachers can use the site to find classroom strategies that work,
interventions for struggling readers, age and reading level appropriate books,
and how to include books and stories into their curriculum. Reading Rockets
does not only provide useful resources and strategies for the typical classroom
teacher it also provides resources and strategies to help a school principal,
librarian, counselor, speech therapist or anyone interested in keeping a child
reading.
On the website,
you can find over 80 interviews with award winning authors, author study tool
kit, holiday gift guide, research-based articles, reading adventure packs,
parent letters, videos and other resources to help students with literacy
difficulties and needs. Reading Rockets is a very user-friendly website with a
nicely colored theme and easy to read fonts. While exploring through the
website I notice that the website provides great resources and tools for just
about anyone trying to help students read or learn how to read. This website is
a great and easy online tool for teachers and everyone searching for fast and
easy to find research-based strategies and tools to help students with reading.
Overall, Reading
Rockets is a phenomenal resource and strategy website that helps teachers and
all users promote student literacy. I use this website frequently to find
research-based interventions for my struggling reader and have found the
resources and strategies included in the website to be both beneficial for me
and my students.
